Vatican II has tended to apostatize children of Catholics because the Tradition is neither defended nor held up against secular culture. Former Protestant here--and many other converts make the same observation -- Novus Ordo often so closely resembles a pathetic mimicry of Protestant services that it’s too frustrating to pray. Why should I hear Hillsong when we have centuries of hymns? When the priest says, ”My sisters and brothers” i want to throw something at him-- secular values creep in.
